⁹ He ·protects our lives [^Lsets our lives among the living]
    and does not let ·us be defeated [^Lour feet be moved].
¹⁰ God, you have ·tested [examined] us;
    you have ·purified [refined] us like silver [^Cremoving the dross].
¹¹ You ·let us be trapped [brought us into the net]
    and put ·a heavy load on us [^Lmisery on our backs].
